RACA Celebrates the Graduation of Its First Bachelor’s Cohort in Food & Beverage Management

Held on Saturday, November 15 at the Cultural Palace in Amman, the ceremony marked an important moment in RACA’s journey as Jordan’s leading institution for culinary and hospitality education.
The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts is an initiative of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development and a certified member of the École hôtelière de Lausanne network. Through its academic programs, the Academy continues to prepare highly skilled professionals equipped to contribute to Jordan’s growing food and beverage, culinary, and hospitality sectors.
The graduation ceremony brought together distinguished guests, partners, faculty members, families, industry representatives, and members of the wider RACA community to celebrate the achievements of the graduates.
His Excellency Dr. Wajih Owais, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, delivered a congratulatory speech in which he praised the graduates and highlighted the importance of launching the Bachelor’s program in Food & Beverage Management in response to the needs of the labor market. He also emphasized the Academy’s role locally, regionally, and internationally, and commended its educational partnership with École hôtelière de Lausanne.
The ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr. Haditha Khreisha, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development; H.E. Ms. Emilija Georgieva, Ambassador of Switzerland to Jordan; and Mr. Patrick Ogheard, Dean of the School of Practical Arts at École hôtelière de Lausanne.
Chef Jacques Rossel, Director of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, reaffirmed RACA’s commitment to delivering world class applied education that combines technical excellence, practical training, and leadership development. He noted that the Academy remains dedicated to preparing graduates who are ready to meet the evolving needs of the global hospitality industry.
The ceremony concluded with the official recognition of graduates and the presentation of their certificates, celebrating not only their academic achievement but also the beginning of their professional journeys in the culinary and hospitality fields.
Through this milestone, RACA continues to strengthen its mission of empowering young talent, supporting employability, and contributing to the development of Jordan’s hospitality sector.
