The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts (RACA), an Associate Member of the EHL Network of Certified Schools, celebrates its latest study program: BA in Food & Beverage Management, launched in collaboration with the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, world’s N°1 University in Hospitality and Leisure Management, in the framework of the status of Associate Member of the EHL Network of Certified Schools, during a VIP reception held at the campus of the Academy.
After many years of successfully delivering a Two-Year Diploma in Culinary Arts, RACA was approved to become a Technical University College and therefore can now offer both a Diploma and a Bachelor Degree.
The reception was attended by H.E. the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities; Mr. Nayef Al-Fayez, H.E. the Ambassador of Jordan to Japan; Mrs. Lina Annab, and H.E. the President of the Commission for Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions and Quality Assurance; Prof. Dhafer Al-Sarayrah, in addition to a number of general managers of five-star hotels in Jordan, the director of hotel education at the Ministry of Education, and many school principals and school university counselors. Guests were welcomed by Dr. Wajih Owais, Chairman of RACA’s Board of Trustees.
The ceremony included a speech by RACA’s Director; Chef Jacques Rossel where he welcomed the invitees and shed light on this new program and this important major, the first of its kind in the region, which combines Culinary Arts and Food and Beverage Management, and grants students an accredited certificate from the Ministry of Higher Education and Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) within 4 years; where students will receive a hands-on program delivered entirely in English, including two internship semesters taking place in one of the best 5* hotels in Jordan or abroad. Upon completing of their studies, successful graduates will be fully prepared for the hospitality industry locally and internationally.
“We thank our partners in success, our colleagues in the hotel and tourism sector, and ladies and gentlemen from the education sector for attending this event and for their continuous support for the Academy’s journey over the past years” Mr. Rossel added.
