Australia’s Chef of the Year 2024 Visits the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts

The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts hosted the renowned Australian chef, Joe Barrett, Chef of the Year 2024 according to Good Food Guide, at RACA’s campus in Amman, where she gave a presentation to RACA’s students that received interaction from ambitious future chefs, in addition to conducting a tour of RACA’s facilities.
Joe Barrett’s visit, celebrated for her innovative culinary creations and commitment to sustainable development, embodies RACA’s diligent efforts to introduce its students to world-class chefs and innovative cooking methods used in several countries around the world.
In her session delivered to RACA’s students, Chef Joe Barrett shared her personal journey in the culinary world, from humble beginnings to internationally recognized achievements. She explored the details of her sustainable cooking approach, emphasizing the importance of creativity and dedication in this sector. Through stories and illustrative presentations, she showcased her innovative approach to cooking, inspiring students to push the boundaries of their creativity.
Chef Joe expressed her delight in visiting the academy, saying, ” It’s an incredible academy to be a part of today! I got to speak with some really interesting people and chefs, and then to see the high-tech facilities in RACA. I also had the opportunity to witness the diverse skills that students learn here.”
It is noteworthy that the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts is a Technical University College, established in 2008 following the vision of His Majesty, King Abdullah II, to raise the level of education in the Tourism and Hospitality Sector, and reorient young men and women toward education related to the technical market. RACA is a Certified Member of the Network of EHL-certified Schools and offers a Four-Year Bachelor’s Degree in Food & Beverage Management and a Two-Year Diploma in Culinary Arts.
