The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts graduates more than 100 new chefs

On Saturday 9th of November 2024, the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts (RACA) held its 15th graduation ceremony; honoring the achievements of more than 100 graduates.
The ceremony, held at the King Hussein Business Park Auditorium, was under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Wajih Oweis, Chairman of RACA’s Board of Trustees, with the attendance of H.E. Mrs. Emilija Georgieva, Ambassador of Switzerland to Jordan and H.E. Mr. Mazen Tabbalat, the Director of King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD), in addition to the graduates’ family members, representatives of the hospitality industry in Jordan and RACA’s management, faculty and employees.
In his speech, H.E. Dr. Wajih Owais congratulated the graduates for completing their study requirements at RACA, and thanked their families for their support and trust in RACA, wishing the students a unique career path to become promising young people who are active in developing the hospitality sector in Jordan.
H.E. Mrs. Emilia Georgieva, delivered a speech to congratulate the graduate chefs for choosing this educational path for its rewarding future and various possibilities it offers. Her Excellency also mentioned the positive and fruitful outcomes resulting from the Swiss dual-education system applied by the Royal Academy through its partnership with École hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) in Switzerland, the world’s No. 1 University in Hospitality and Leisure Management.
RACA’s Director, Chef Jacques Rossel proudly congratulated the graduates and extended his appreciation to their parents, families and sponsors for supporting them in achieving their dream and passion. He also reflected on the main milestones of their 2-years journey, building their skills and knowledge through the RACA’s values.
The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts is a Technical University College, established in 2008 following the vision of His Majesty, King Abdullah II, to raise the level of education in the Tourism and Hospitality Sector, and reorient young men and women toward education related to the technical market. RACA is a Certified Member of the Network of EHL-certified Schools and offers a Four-Year Bachelor’s Degree in Food & Beverage Management and a Two-Year Diploma in Culinary Arts.
