A Michelin Star Chef Dinner at the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts in collaboration with the Embassy of Belgium

The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts (RACA) hosted an exquisite dinner in collaboration with the Embassy of Belgium, by the Michelin Star Belgian Chef Thomas Troupin.
The dinner, attended by many ambassadors in Jordan, is the fruit of collaboration between RACA and the Belgian Embassy in promoting cultural exchange between Jordan and Belgium, where Chef Thomas prepared Belgian dishes using Jordanian flavors, as he specializes in local and seasonal ingredients. RACA’s students and chef instructors supported chef Thomas in preparing and serving this Jordanian-Belgian fusion dinner which was highly admired by the guests.
Thomas Troupin, who was voted the Best Sous Chef in Belgium in 2017 by Gault&Millau, was quite pleased with RACA’s facilities and with the welcoming and support he received from RACA’s staff, adding: “Certain schools in Belgium should perhaps be inspired by this hospitality at RACA!”
Meanwhile, HE Mr. Serge Dickschen expressed his delight of this fruitful collaboration of chef Thomas and RACA’ students; as this event reflects tireless efforts to promote understanding and cultural exchange between the two countries, in addition to highlighting the high value of food as a means of communication and closeness between different cultures.
It is worth-mentioning that the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts is a Technical University College, established in 2008 following the vision of His Majesty, King Abdullah II, to raise the level of education in the Tourism and Hospitality Sector, and reorient young men and women toward education related to the technical market. RACA is a Certified Member of the Network of EHL-certified Schools and offers a Four-Year Bachelor’s Degree in Food & Beverage Management and a Two-Year Diploma in Culinary Arts.
